Agile Games…Deep Agile 2010

I’m glad I took the time to enjoy this  year’s Deep Agile Event – “Empowering Teams with Agile Games” – it was very, very good.

As we coach in and around agile projects we quickly learn there are a number of concepts and aspects of ‘what it feels like’ that are hard to convey or practice with just  words and discussion.  You have to be ‘in it’ to get the aha’s and to really feel why and how certain things work.  While games for serious play are being used in a number of arenas, they are being found to be especially useful in Agile – and, lucky for us, a group a friendly, capable experts were gathered last weekend  to share what they have been learning.

I’ll report back with more detail tomorrow – but the first word is that I’ve been re-inspired to refactor some games I’d been using and to develop some new ones.

More very soon …..
